I recently had the pleasure of styling a product shoot for the exceptionally talented designer, Ali Miller. Her creations draw inspiration from nostalgic memories and life experiences, resulting in unique and captivating designs. Notably, Ali’s tea cups and saucers grace the tables of the stylish Sketch London restaurant, providing a chic backdrop for our shoot.
The Unique Setting at Sketch London
Our shoot unfolded in the vibrant and eclectic room sets of Sketch London, offering a visually stunning and avant-garde backdrop. The restaurant’s uber cool ambiance added a touch of sophistication to our creative process, allowing us to capture the essence of Ali Miller’s designs in an environment that resonates with artistic flair.
Seasonal Setups and Creative Risks
For Ali’s diverse product ranges, I crafted several seasonal setups to showcase the versatility of her designs. Among these, the ice cream shots stand out as a personal favorite. Despite the challenge of executing this idea in the warmth of a restaurant on a sunny day, the risk paid off splendidly. The limited time frame necessitated efficient planning and execution.
The Melting Moment: A Test of Patience
With time constraints in mind, our skilled and patient photographer, Yeshen, played a crucial role in waiting for the opportune moment of just the right amount of “melting.” This attention to detail and commitment to capturing the perfect shot underscored the collaborative effort that went into bringing Ali Miller’s vision to life.
